Environmental Literacy Vermont Project

This winter, from January through April, Vermont’s State-Wide Environmental Education Programs alliance (SWEEP) hosted public dialogues in every county of Vermont to discuss environmental literacy.  Each evening dialogue lasted approximately two hours, and consisted of small group discussions, during which participants shared examples of environmental literacy, highlighted model programs and identified environmental education needs and opportunities.  Approximately 200 people from across the state participated in these dialogues.  Currently, we are in the process of organizing the information that we collected in order to create a document, a "roadmap," to connect people, businesses, organizations and agencies around the state.

You can still participate!

If you were unable to attend one of our public dialogues this winter, but you'd like to have your voice heard, we'd love for you to contact us!  Please click here to find out how you can participate in this process, and thanks for your interest in the project!
